What is an Amazon influencer storefront?

An Amazon influencer storefront is a creator’s own page on Amazon. It lives at a vanity URL like amazon.com/shop/yourname and shows the products you recommend, organized in idea lists and brought to life with photos and videos. For your followers it is one link instead of dozens.

Not to be confused with Amazon Stores, which are brand pages sellers create for their own products. Your influencer storefront belongs to you and can feature any brand.

Requirement: approval for the Influencer Program

You can’t simply create a storefront. It comes with the Amazon Influencer Program. You apply with your Associates account and a social media account, and Amazon reviews your content, engagement and followers. Once approved, your storefront is there.

Step 1: Your vanity URL

Amazon generates the URL from the handle of the account you qualified with. According to Amazon’s help, it can only be changed in specific cases afterwards, for example when your YouTube channel name changes or you want it to match a bigger account on another platform. Requests go through the Influencer Program contact form and are reviewed manually. So think about which account you apply with.

Step 2: Create idea lists

Idea lists are the shelves of your storefront, for example “Kitchen under $30” or “My desk setup”. Amazon’s help describes two ways to add products:

  1. In your storefront: open your page in owner view, open the list, search for the product and click “+”.
  2. On the product page: use the “Add to List” dropdown to drop the product straight into one of your lists.

Give every list a clear name and a short description. Visitors should see in seconds what they will find.

Step 3: Add photos and videos

Photos and videos turn a link collection into a real recommendation. According to Amazon’s help, you upload them on desktop through Creator Hub, or directly in your storefront’s owner view via “Add to your storefront”. Every video is moderated before it goes live.

Videos are also your route to onsite commission: Amazon may show them to shoppers outside your storefront, for example on product pages. When someone buys that way, you earn the onsite rate.

Menu names can differ slightly between marketplaces; the steps above follow Amazon’s US help.

Step 4: Share and disclose

Share your storefront link wherever your audience is: your bio, video descriptions, stories or newsletter. Because you earn from purchases, disclosure applies. In the US you need the statement “As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.”, plus FTC-compliant disclosure such as “#ad” for gifted or sponsored products.

Tips for a storefront that sells

  • A few clear lists beat one long collection.
  • Products you actually know. Your own photos and videos are more convincing than stock product images.
  • Tidy up regularly. Remove unavailable products and outdated lists.
  • Choose videos deliberately. Upload videos for products that accept influencer videos and don’t already have many.

That last point is where Reelgap helps: it shows you on the product page whether a video is possible, how many influencer videos are already there and what the onsite commission pays.

FAQ

How do I get an Amazon storefront as an influencer?

Apply to the Amazon Influencer Program with your Associates account and a social media account. Once Amazon approves you, your storefront exists and you can start adding content.

Can I change my Amazon storefront URL?

Generally not. Amazon's help says the vanity URL is generated from the account you qualified with and can only be changed in specific cases, for example if your YouTube channel name changed. Requests go through the contact form and are reviewed manually.

Is an influencer storefront the same as an Amazon brand store?

No. An influencer storefront belongs to you as a creator and shows products from any brand. Amazon Stores are brand pages that sellers with Brand Registry create for their own products.

How do I add videos to my Amazon storefront?

According to Amazon's help, upload them on desktop through Creator Hub, or open your storefront in owner view and choose 'Add to your storefront'. Every video is moderated before it goes live.

Know before you make the video

Reelgap shows you right on the product page whether a video is possible, how many influencer videos already run top and bottom, and what the onsite commission pays.
