Privacy policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026. This policy covers the website reelgap.com, the waitlist, contact by email and the Reelgap Chrome extension.

1. Controller

HYPED, owner Dominic Foerst, Drachenfelsstraße 1, 67240 Bobenheim-Roxheim, Germany. Email: [email protected]. We have not appointed a data protection officer because we are not required to. For any privacy question, write to the address above.

2. The essentials

  • The website sets no cookies, loads no third-party fonts and uses no advertising tracking. The only external script is the cookie-free Cloudflare Web Analytics beacon (section 4).
  • The Chrome extension works in your browser. It sends no data to Reelgap servers. Requests go directly from your browser to Amazon. From the start of sales, the licence check is the only addition (section 8).
  • We do not sell data and do not use it for personalised advertising.

3. Website and hosting

The website is delivered via Cloudflare Pages (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit, Cloudflare processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time, requested page, referrer and browser identifier to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in secure and fast operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare acts as our processor; transfers to the USA rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and additionally on the standard contractual clauses in Cloudflare's data processing agreement.

The Plus Jakarta Sans font is served from our own server. No connection to Google Fonts or other font providers is made.

4. Cookie-free analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to see how often our pages are viewed. For this the page loads a small script from static.cloudflareinsights.com. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device and builds no user profiles. It records aggregated figures such as page views, referrer, country, device type and load time. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving our site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

5. Waitlist and emails

When you join the waitlist we process your email address, the page language and, if provided, the marketplaces you upload videos to. We use double opt-in: you receive an email with a confirmation link and are only added after clicking it. As proof we store the time of sign-up and confirmation; when you click the confirmation link, Brevo also records your IP address.

The form sends your details to a function on our Cloudflare server, which passes them to Brevo. No Brevo script or cookie is loaded on the website. Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, 106 boulevard Haussmann, 75008 Paris, France) processes the data as our processor for sending and managing emails. Where Brevo uses sub-processors outside the EU, this is based on the EU standard contractual clauses in Brevo's data processing agreement.

We only write to you about Reelgap, for example about the beta launch and the offer for people on the waitlist. Legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link in every email or by writing to [email protected]. After you unsubscribe we delete your data; your address only stays on a suppression list so you receive no further emails. If you do not confirm, you are not added and we do not write to you.

6. Contact by email

If you write to [email protected] or another reelgap.com address, we process your address and message to reply. Legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where it concerns a contract or a request about one, otherwise our legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Our mailbox is hosted by Google Workspace (Google Cloud EMEA Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) as processor. Google may also process data in the USA, based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and additionally Google's standard contractual clauses. We delete messages once they are resolved and no retention obligation applies.

7. The Chrome extension

What the extension does

On product and search pages of amazon.de, amazon.com, amazon.co.uk and amazon.ca, Reelgap shows whether an influencer video is possible, how many influencer videos exist, the onsite commission and other figures. On request it also checks where your own videos are placed, shows views, sales and earnings per video in Creator Hub, marks bought products without your own video on "Your Orders", keeps a shot list and helps you contact a seller with a template.

Which data it processes

  • Content of the Amazon pages you open: product identifier (ASIN), title, category, price, seller, displayed purchase counts, the "Customers say" summary and information about the videos on the page.
  • Your orders: when you open "Your Orders" on Amazon, the extension reads the product identifier and title of bought products to show which ones you do not have your own video for yet. It does not use addresses, payment details or order amounts for this.
  • Your videos and earnings in Creator Hub: for the placement check and earnings per video, the extension reads your video overview and Amazon's figures for views, sales and earnings per video. These values stay in your browser.
  • Requests to Amazon: for some values the extension loads additional Amazon pages, for example further video information for a product, the same product on another Amazon marketplace or, for the placement check, your video overview in Amazon Creator Hub. These requests go directly from your browser to Amazon and use your existing Amazon session. To Amazon they look like a normal page view by you.
  • Locally stored data: cached results, placement check results and history, earnings per video, your shot list with notes, which panels are collapsed and the status of your licence or trial. They are kept in the extension's storage in your browser (chrome.storage.local). Settings such as language and display options are kept in chrome.storage.sync; if Chrome sync is turned on, Google syncs these settings across your devices via your Google account.
  • Clipboard: only when you click "Contact seller" does the extension copy the template text to your clipboard. It never reads the clipboard.

What it does not do

  • It sends no data to Reelgap servers or third parties. The only exception is the licence check with Freemius described in section 8.
  • It does not read Amazon passwords or cookies and does not ask for login details.
  • It does not upload videos, accept campaigns, send messages or take any other action in your Amazon account.
  • It only runs on the four Amazon domains listed. It does not record other websites or your browsing history.

Permissions

  • Access to amazon.de, .com, .co.uk and .ca: to show the figures on Amazon pages and fetch the required information directly from Amazon.
  • Access to api.freemius.com: only for the licence check (section 8).
  • storage: to keep settings, cached results and licence status in your browser.
  • clipboardWrite: to copy the seller request template to your clipboard after you click.

Legal basis, retention, deletion

Processing serves the features you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Local data stays until you delete it in the extension settings or remove the extension. Cached results are also refreshed regularly.

Chrome Web Store: Limited Use

Reelgap's use of information received through the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the data only to provide the features described, do not transfer it for other purposes, do not use it for advertising and do not allow humans to read it.

8. Purchase, trial and licence (from the start of sales)

From the start of sales we use Freemius (Freemius, Inc., USA) for purchases, subscriptions and licence keys. Freemius sells the licence as a reseller in its own name and processes the contact, billing and payment details entered at checkout under its own responsibility; its privacy policy applies. We do not receive full payment details. From Freemius we receive what we need for subscription, licence and support: name, email address, country, plan, term and status.

To check that your licence is valid, the extension will then send the licence key and a random installation identifier to Freemius. No content from Amazon pages is transmitted. Legal basis is performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For the licence check Freemius acts as our processor; transfers to the USA are based on the standard contractual clauses in Freemius's data processing agreement. We keep billing records for the statutory periods (up to 10 years under German tax and commercial law).

9. Recipients at a glance

  • Cloudflare, Inc. (USA): hosting, attack protection, cookie-free analytics, forwarding the waitlist form to Brevo. Processor, Data Privacy Framework.
  • Brevo / Sendinblue SAS (France): waitlist and emails. Processor, standard contractual clauses for sub-processors outside the EU.
  • Google Cloud EMEA Limited (Ireland): email mailbox. Processor, Data Privacy Framework.
  • Freemius, Inc. (USA), from the start of sales: sales, payment, licence. Independent controller for the sale, processor for the licence check; standard contractual clauses.
  • Amazon: receives the requests the extension makes from your browser on your behalf, like any other page view. Amazon is responsible for that data itself.

10. Providing your data

You are not obliged to give us any data. Without an email address, however, we cannot add you to the waitlist or reply to you, and without a licence check the extension cannot be unlocked after the trial.

11. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You can withdraw consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3)). Write to [email protected].

Right to object: where we process data based on legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you can object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Rheinland-Pfalz, Hintere Bleiche 34, 55116 Mainz, Germany, www.datenschutz.rlp.de.

12. Changes

If our technology or service providers change, we will update this policy. The version published here applies.
